FAQs

Pulse oximeters measure light absorption in the finger to noninvasively monitor oxygen saturation and pulse rate. Developed by Masimo, the leading brand of hospital pulse oximeters, the MightySat® Rx Fingertip Pulse Oximeter provides accurate blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate measurements when other pulse oximeters fail.

Multiple companies have introduced low-priced, battery-powered “fingertip” pulse oximeters to the consumer market. In some circumstances, these products often provide inaccurate measurements or no measurements at all. This may occur when there is low blood flow to the finger (such as when the fingers are cold) or during hand movement (even with minimal motion such as shaking). In addition, many of the products on the market are of low quality and do not interface with smartphones to store, manage, and share data.
MightySat Rx is powered by Masimo SET® pulse oximetry, the same technology used to monitor over 200 million patients annually at hospitals around the world.1 MightySat Rx is accurate when other pulse oximeters fail.

Masimo Corporation originally developed Signal Extraction Technology® (SET® ) pulse oximetry for clinical use. Masimo SET® is the primary pulse oximetry at 9 of the top 10 U.S. hospitals, as ranked in the 2022-23 U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals Honor Roll.2 Masimo SET® uses five parallel signal processing engines that measure through challenging conditions, including movement and low blood flow.

Use of MightySat Rx device must follow the order of a physician.
MightySat Rx measure 5 key health parameters: Oxygen Level (SpO2 ), Pulse Rate (PR), Perfusion Index (Pi), Breaths per Minute (RRp® ), and Pleth Variability Index (PVi® ).
MightySat Rx users can track and trend data seamlessly. See patterns and trends through the free Masimo Professional Health App and know when your health values are out of target range. You can share the data via email with your doctor.

Parameter data can be displayed on a compatible smart device with Bluetooth® LE models. For a list of compatible smart devices, click here. The free Masimo Professional Health App is downloadable from the Google Play store for select Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices. Please note that a MightySat Rx is required for the app to work.
